Pros

students are amazing; great mission (although often poorly executed)

Cons

disorganized; questionable decision-making - leadership often moves too quickly without fully considering all implications, resulting in decisions that negatively impact students/staff; lack of support from leadership; lots of employee stress and burnout

Pros

Makeschool's summer academy was an amazing experience. Going in with little to no programming knowledge and leaving with two games on the app store really shows you how helpful and skilled they are in teaching people iPhone development. I worked for 8 weeks, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day on my game(s) to make them the best they could be. Whenever I needed help, I had an instructor or even a friend there to assist me. I met so many new people and made so many connections in the tech world which gave me a boost in landing a future job. They also had guest speakers come in such as Sam Altman, president of YCombinator and Alexis Ohanian, founder of Reddit. Makeschool was definitley worth it and I absolutely recommend it.

Cons

No real cons other than challenging yourself and sticking to working on your game and not giving up.
