      Pros

      The kids who wanted to learn.

      Cons

      "Pet" teachers get best schedules. Administrators believe it's perfectly okay for some kids to cuss teachers, yet others are punished. So worried about bad publicity, they hire a loud mouthed woman with no skills.

      Pros

      Good leadership, great kids/ I taught advanced. Loved my coworkers. I taught with very talented, dedicated, kind coworkers who truly care about students and student growth. I experienced high trust with most of the principals I worked under with very little micromanagement. Great parents for the most part. When I first started teaching there in 2016, it was one of the highest paying districts in the area. Others in the area have now caught up with pay and some now pay a bit better. They implemented two bonuses throughout the year, which was nice. I enjoyed my time teaching in MISD and had a good experience.

      Nothing that is uncommon for the profession of teaching.
