Pros

One of the cofounders is smart and understands what is needed to succeed.

Cons

other cofounder is rude, condescending, speaks down to minority employees and believes employees should stay beyond 5 to show they work hard. Smart founder lacks backbone to stand up to this arrogant jerk.

Pros

The team was great. Everyone including the founders were approachable and helpful when I ran into problems. The product is interesting and has the potential to educate consumers about debt and help them find a good deal on a loan. There is catered team lunch every Thursday. There is an option to work fully (or partially) remote.

Cons

The product is a web app. If you are not interested in web development this job may not be for you. The website is mostly written in PHP. This could be a deal breaker for some people.

Pros

They have free snacks. Office is modern.

Cons

I was hired for a marketing position but it turned out to be 100% cold calling, stalking directors and execs on LinkedIn to sell advertising space on their website. They promised a bonus depending on how much I sold, but never explained it and always pushed it off when in asked. I never got any bonus. When I started, I was given a computer with old files still on it from a previous employee who had left. There was no one to train me, and I was expected to start calling and selling on day one after a 30 minute "presentation" from the founder about how great the company is. A few weeks later, I was given a stack of resumes and asked to call them to set up interviews, which I did. They then fired me without any notice later that day. This is by far the most messed up thing I've experienced in any job.
