Pros
Mag-lite is one of the few high quality products manufactured in American. I have one and I would guess you have one as well. The Mag facility is one of the cleanest and well set up facilities I have ever seen.
Cons
In this case the “Nail” being fair and consistent management. Without this simple baseline for running a company the battle is lost almost certainly immediately. The cost of the product has gone up negligibly over the years due to improvements in automation and giving the workers that make the product ten cent raises every seven to ten years or so. When I was there one woman started crying after receiving $00.03 raise after four years. That's right Three cents. The owner has all the marbles and plans to keep it that way. I call it “A MAG-Mas Carol” with no happy ending. Mag Instrument is in it final chapter.
