Pros

The amount of emotional trauma you'll go through will make you a stronger person when you choose to move to your next job or are forced to when they fire you for no reason.

Cons

Avoid at all costs. This company will take everything you have, time, energy, sense of worth... The list goes on. Having stepped away from the company a few months ago, I was willing the management team to turn things around and have been holding off from writing this. After hearing about what has happened this week to their employees, clearly things are only getting worse. If you are asked to interview here, please don't go. Don't be swayed by the positive reviews, they are written by management/people who they have coerced to write for them.

Thank you for your review. It is disappointing to hear that Maddox Events is not for you. The organisation that you describe in your review is not one that I and many others recognise. I have just compiled the 2020 employee satisfaction survey which found that the overall satisfaction rate of our employees is 87%. This is far higher than the average organisation in the UK. In your review, you also state 'after hearing about'. I am afraid I am not in a position to comment on speculation on a public forum. May I wish you the best for the future.

Pros

- Constant involvement in projects/all departments opinions are taken into consideration - Company is growing at a fast rate, meaning a great opportunity for personal growth - Autonomous working - you are responsible for your part of the project, meaning you can create something you are proud of - Start-up culture means you learn a lot more skills than you would in a corporate environment, meaning more transferrable skills - Opportunity to travel e.g. San Francisco, Cape Town & Amsterdam - Monthly massages - Feedback from employees has been taken on by the founders to create a better working environment for all - Leadership training course has allowed further personal growth than in other companies - Free Gym membership - No cold calling (great when you're in sales) - Very approachable founders - I have always been able to go and ask for help/understanding when I am in a difficult position, and the founders try and support me the best they can

Cons

The high growth rate can sometimes mean the wrong people are hired - those who are not passionate about what we do or can not hack the fast pace changes or high target often feel hard done by, and push this negative vibe on to the rest of the team. A small team/company means that everyone has to pull their weight, and when someone slacks it can affect a project massively, and have a knock on effect on motivation.
