Pros
- Young, dynamic team. - "Cool" factor - in average, people are/look cooler/more fashionable than in other companies (HR policy I suppose). - Very strong sales orientation compared to other marketing research companies in Tokyo. - Superior management is reachable, easy to talk to.
Cons
- As the company is the largest player in a mature market (market research), if you start at the bottom of the pyramid it is quite difficult to "climb the ladder". Too slow if you are looking for fast growth. - The marketing research process is split in stages, and each department is in charge with only one stage. This is a profitable move, and allows people to be effective faster, with minimum training. Still, you see only one piece of each project, no project ownership. - There is an incredible amount of overtime (10 am - 11pm was "common sense", and some teams worked until morning once a week), although the extra payment is incredibly low (can consider it almost zero) due to them using a loophole in the regulations.
