Pros

Modern office space in central London

Cons

Very catty and clicky. Poor culture, openly discuss sensitive information in an open plan environment. People shouting at each other across desks because they do not like each other. Management seem to think this is appropriate behaviour. Either there is little awareness from senior management around the toxic environment or they simply do not care. Zero strategy or direction for teams. Whilst there is a bonus scheme, if you're not in the click you get the absolute minimum, performance goes out of the window.

I am genuinely sorry to hear that your experience working with Mace has left such a poor perspective and what you’ve shared does not reflect the behaviours and culture that we'd hope for in such a key function. We strive to create a professional, inclusive and ambitious environment for our colleagues to thrive but recognise there are occasions where we may not get it right. There are number of very important issues raised in your review that I personally would like to understand more about so that a proper plan of intervention and engagement can be shaped that is meaningful. If you feel comfortable, please do reach out to me directly. If you’d rather do so anonymously you can share more details on our Speak Up hotline, available on 0800 915 1571 but I sincerely hope that you will feel able to reach out to me.

Pros

Direct collaboration with global teams and exposure to high-level projects.

Cons

Unsupportive environment: The workplace culture suffers from micromanagement, passive-aggressive communication, and a clear lack of integrity from recently appointed management. Leadership Favoritism: Senior leadership tends to favor newly hired managers, failing to provide equal treatment, fair evaluation, or direct open channels of communication to the rest of the team.
