Pros
Good with PTO/life balance for appointments etc Within the past few years they started structuring tiny but annual raises (vs the old way, no raises at all)
Cons
Often forced overtime Nights/weekends abused with huge call volume (often at 1,2,3 in the morning calls) On-call is abused - again, extremely high call volume - you're basically working another full-time job while on-call It's a very small company that tries to act like a mega-corporation - it zaps the will and energy from all of their employees Low starting pay Rules and policies change by the day/week sometimes and unless you read the company policy handbook daily/weekly, you're always going to end up doing something wrong LOTS of office drama/bickering Often degrading and loud confrontations with employees The people at the top acting as managers often haven't even gotten a college degree and have zero experience managing.. yet here they are managing A few years ago they started picking up employees from fast food and other jobs with no job experience and no college in an effort to have low-wage employment Upper management/owner acts nice to your face but then spreads lies behind your back which then somehow circle back to you
