Pros

MSR does provide you with the proper hands-on experience of a PR agency. Their clients are exciting, and the office location is pretty central. You get the week off between Christmas and New Years, and lots of holidays. Work life balance is great, and MSR is a great stepping stone to a bigger company with bigger budgets and more opportunity.

Cons

Bad management-- essentially no management The managers don't actually have any power to authorize any changes and often shy away from communicating team questions, requests or concerns with the CEO Technology is old and CEO doesn't want to invest in the proper equipment for team needs Money is constantly an issue-- small happy hour budgets, no new technology, low annual raises if any CEO is very strict about working from home or remotely CEO is very out of touch with the team and their needs, and often doesn’t respond to emails. Things are really unorganized and there are no systems in place for most processes

Pros

I had a great time working at MSR! I did my internship remotely and always felt supported by my coworkers. The agency has clients in a wide range of industries and provides plenty of hands on experience. Mary is a fantastic leader and has cultivated a great culture at the company!

Cons

I can't think of any!

Pros

My career in communications started at MSR, which was an amazing opportunity. The small team environment offers both strong support and the chance to work in diverse industries, bringing excitement to each day with new challenges and clients. Fantastic start to a career.

Cons

Unfortunately, the tools and technologies we utilized were outdated, which hindered my exposure to industry-standard practices. Consequently, I was not as prepared as I expected for my next opportunity.
