Pros

- Exposure to different areas of the work and tasks, meetings and exposure to US folks -Predictable working hours; rarely expected to stay late on site - A number of genuinely skilled and passionate individuals are doing their best to drive good science and quality work—there are “islands” of integrity and purpose amid the noise

Cons

- A part of the work culture strongly emphasizes social participation to the point where setting personal boundaries can be perceived as “non-cooperative” or “problematic.” -Leadership tends to side with those who are more socially dominant or politically skilled, even when their behavior disrupts harmony. - Gossip and indirect complaints are often acted on without direct discussion or fact-checking, creating a culture of distrust. - Critical feedback or quiet professionalism is not valued—visibility and perceived loyalty matter more than actual performance. - Instead of fostering collaboration, the environment encourages competition and power struggles over projects.
