Pros

Overall a strong, well run environment with leadership that is accessible and engaged. There are regular check ins, open lines of communication, and a genuine willingness to support people who are putting in the effort. Expectations are outlined early and revisited, so it’s generally clear what success looks like and how progress is being measured. There’s also a high level of trust. People are given flexibility in how they manage their time and approach their work, without unnecessary oversight. At the same time, there are real resources behind that trust- whether it’s time, budget, or encouragement to pursue professional development, build relationships, or explore opportunities that move the business forward. It’s a place where you can take ownership and actually see the impact of your work.

Cons

The flip side of that autonomy is that it’s not an overly structured or handholding environment. You’re expected to stay organized, communicate consistently, and follow through on commitments without being chased. For people who prefer a more rigid day to day or constant direction, that adjustment can be challenging.

Pros

Is getting yelled at a pro? If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Cons

I know what you're thinking. I'm some disgruntled employee that didn't work out and that's all glassdoor reviews are comprised of. Please hear me out and understand that's wrong. This is by far the worst organization I have ever stepped into, and I have worked for some pretty awful boutiques in the past. I would rather pickup trash on the side of the freeway than work here. For starters, I reported to not one, but three different bosses all giving me completely different orders but all had the same theme of leverage my past relationships to be successful. That's because that's all the owners here have done which is why this company hasn't grown at all. There is no GTM or sales strategy here. They are expecting you to walk in with an RFP your first day, or have your wife or neighbor bring you in a deal immediately. To make this post even funnier, one of my main managers was an HR guy that had no degree or even background in sales, isn't that hilarious? Teamwork and collaboration is forbidden here, they don't want you working with other divisions. Mandatory in office role even though you're in sales and should be out driving around and networking. I was completely misguided and hoodwinked joining here after seeing some friendly staff initially.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take employee experiences seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and clarify some factual inaccuracies. Our sales team operates with significant autonomy. We actively encourage our sales professionals to be out in the field networking, meeting with prospects, and closing deals. We usually hire salespeople based on their contacts in the relevant industries, and this is not unusual. Sales professionals maintain full autonomy over their schedules, with the only required in-office commitment being our weekly status meeting on Fridays. However, when team members are not meeting performance benchmarks over an extended period, we may step in with closer mentorship and increased in-office coaching sessions. This is a supportive measure—not punitive—designed to help professionals brainstorm new strategies, refine their approach, and ultimately succeed. This is an individualized response when results are not being achieved. Regarding your characterization of our management team, our organizational structure and reporting lines are communicated clearly at the time of hire. Our leadership team has diverse backgrounds that complement each other and contribute to our holistic approach to business development and client service. Regarding strategy and growth, we're proud of what we've achieved—growing to nearly 300 professionals serving clients across multiple industries. This growth has been built on strong client relationships and strategic business development, and we continue to invest in our go-to-market capabilities and sales infrastructure. Additionally, we are now a year after completing a successful merger with Infosys, a global technology company, which has strengthened our capabilities and produced excellent results. We recognize that our fast-paced, results-oriented environment is demanding and requires a high degree of self-direction and relationship-building capability. This culture may not be the right fit for everyone, and we respect that different professionals thrive in different settings. We remain committed to building a workplace where talented professionals can thrive long-term. For prospective employees, please know that we take our employees' careers seriously. MRE was named a Best Place to Work by the Houston Business Journal as a medium-sized company in 2022 and 2024 and was recognized as a large company honoree in 2025. Regarding collaboration, we encourage cross-functional teamwork where it serves our clients' best interests and helps our team members achieve their objectives. We certainly do not discourage collaboration among the sales forces. We wish you the best in finding an organization that better aligns with your working style and career goals. For current employees who may be reading this and have concerns, we encourage open dialogue. Please reach out to HR or your manager—we are committed to addressing issues and continually improving our workplace.
