Pros

Union, experienced CNAs, Day and Swing LVNs try to see each other succeed; patient ration for LVNs is 20:1

Cons

1 overnight LVN creates a toxic environment & supervisors do nothing about it; you will get phone calls and text messages at all hours of the day and night asking you to come to work; they will try to pressure you during your shift to work doubles; they will not listen to you if you tell them that you feel something is unsafe; they will verbally reprimand you during your reviews if you have to use "too many" sick days and tell you to call out less; they try to make you find your own coverage if you're sick and either need to leave the shift early or if you need to come in for a shift late; they try to make you provide doctors notes saying you can't work if you're sick and tell them you need to be taken off schedule for a specific amount of time.

Pros

Supportive learning environment with people who love their jobs and predominantly happy clients.

Cons

Non-profit status means budget capacity fluctuates year to year.
