Pros

If you are flexible and love a challenging, and always changing environment, then MPHI is for you. Because everything is funding-driven, things can change on a client's whim. Things move at a very fast pace and the jobs can be very demanding of top performance. Projects usually have to be done yesterday. Great folks to work with. ISG leadership is knowledgeable and focused. Hours are typically M-F, 8-5 with lots of flexibility depending on projects and other responsibilities. On-site wellness center.

Cons

Because everything is funding-driven, things can change on a client's whim. You'll be headed one direction at one moment, and then the client contacts you and tells you they are changing the requirements, goals, funding, etc. and everything changes the next moment. Funders have been known to cut funding, which can cut projects and staff.

Pros

This review applies to internal staff, not to those who work for the State of Michigan. Great culture of teamwork and camaraderie. Good office culture, decent benefits, and flexible remote work options. Really varies with your leader.

Cons

The leadership is naive (especially the C-suite) - they think they know everything but rarely listen to staff. They pay themselves very well, while staff members, at times, struggle to receive proper compensation. This difference may at times be based on how you are funded. There are some personalities (in leadership and those who influence) that are toxic, seek to exclude, create in-groups and out-groups, division, and manipulate it. At times, those in leadership acquiesce to these personalities.
