Pros

Great employees, Monday-Friday hours and you’ll work in a nice looking space in a fun part of Brooklyn. Brand looks like it would be cool to be a part of.

Cons

Manager/CEO cuts costs by providing low salaries and denies all requests for raises, does not provide bonuses. A lot of miscommunication and lack of clear direction. Product being sold lacks quality. Those pressures combined lead to an unenjoyable and negative work environment that makes the brand’s cool vibe irrelivent.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Mociun is definitely a work in progress. Mociun's has gone through some major changes in the past few months. We recently hired a part time HR Manager. In addition to increasing many of our staff member's salaries and improving our bonus/commission structure. We have a great team now! We hope you would give us another chance to show you; that this is a great place to work.

Pros

Small team so their is a lot of collaboration and opportunity to contribute. Work life balance is important at this company so the hours are reasonable. Variety of customers to work with, offering of products in the store and online covers jewelry and home goods. Small company so over the years I have found that their is opportunity to grow with the business. Leadership team is open to suggestion and is receptive to different ideas and perspectives. Past reviews state that there is no HR, this changed 8 years ago. Our current HR person has been with us for four years. She comes in weekly.

Cons

I'm happy here so I don't have anything in particular to share here. Important to be aware that this is a small business and a small team. The owner gives a lot of freedom to work, organize and plan in your own way. For me this is a plus but can be hard for people that like to be given a lot of directions.

Pros

Opportunity to work with high-profile/VIP clients Employee discount on fine jewelry and home goods Collaborative, “all hands on deck” environment at times Many supportive and hardworking colleagues across departments

Cons

Lack of clear structure, training, and long-term planning for roles High employee turnover and frequent restructuring without transparency Limited managerial oversight and inconsistent leadership support Employees often expected to take on responsibilities beyond their experience level with minimal guidance Reports of unprofessional communication and lack of accountability from leadership HR presence felt more administrative than supportive in addressing workplace concerns Expectations around responsibilities (including scheduling and sales) were not always clearly defined or aligned with initial agreements
