Pros
The co-workers (most of them). Can be a comfortable place to work if you put your head down and do not question management. Generous health benefits and MMC contributes towards 401k.Free coffee and fruit/vegetable trays daily. Paid Bahai holidays. Great location if you live in West Hollywood/Hollywood /Koreatown area.
Cons
Underpaid unless you ask for a raise. They do not put much thought/care into work/life balance. It is the responsibility of the employee to maintain that balance and set boundaries for themselves. MMC will take advantage or take for granted the employees who are loyal, consistent, and who do not stand up for themselves. Management team does not get along with each other. Open door policy does not exist. They will tell you it does. But complaints are ignored or not believed. Exiting employees either quit due to the way they were treated or they were fired. Owner professes high ideals, which I admired and agreed with, but he does not live by them. Hypocritical. He uses the analogy of a garden for MMC. But for anyone who quits or is fired is suddenly considered a "weed" or "rodent" in the garden (Mashi's words). Speaks poorly of how he feels about the current employees. Basically, if you criticize or question management, you are no longer considered a "team player." I experienced criticism, belittling, and ridicule by my direct manager. Compliments were few and far. More often, I was compared to others, rather than congratulated or celebrated for the talents and attributes I had.
