Pros

Every client they have will be interested in working with you after you leave. MKG serves as the (useless) middle-man.

Cons

It’s one of those companies where the people leading the teams somehow just ended up in those positions. Zero mentorship. Plenty of bureaucracy. But that’s every small agency, right? Once you tell yourself that those are issues you can tolerate, you’ll start noticing MKG’s race problem. Diversity equates to using Black, brown and queer faces for content and advertisements — not as valuable additions to their staff. Office politics consists of: White co-workers using cultural slang and misgendering you to death. They typically hire younger, 20-somethings who desperately need the job to survive in NY or LA. Those same people are burnt out and overwhelmed but don’t know where else to go. It’s a dead end for those seeking a places committed to mentoring and developing executives, where there is a strong sense of loyalty on both sides and a culture that fosters career development and growth. Try another agency.
