Pros
Mandatory breaks, being close to many restaurants, and co-workers.
Cons
Poor training and really bad management. I was a Junior Collections Officer for 4 days. Since I did not possess a collections license, my job consisted of making a minimum of 300 calls per day, which believe me is possible. After 4 days, I was told that I was being let go because of my tonality, not following instructions, and generally not being a good fit for the company. They barely gave a chance to show my true potential. There was never proper feedback on my performance. In addition, when I was told I made a mistake, then I was given instructions not to repeat that mistake. These mistakes could have easily been avoided had I been given proper training in the first place. Training consists of being on the phone for half of the first day by an individual who has barely been at the company for a week. After half a day of training, you are given your own desk, a headset, and a list of numbers to call. The call list contains notes by numerous employees, many of whom do not work for the company anymore. There are numerous inconsistencies with the notes in terms of which numbers are valid to call. Therefore, you see some notes that state you should call a number on one date followed by should not call this number a few days later followed by there was a message left on a voice mail as the most recent note.
