For all of the years I've worked at MITRE, the mantra was, "No politics." We work in the public trust, and politics has no place whatsoever in how we operate, whether in public or behind the scenes. That changed a few months ago, and now we are all about social justice.
Three years ago we had a new CEO, and the first shake-ups lead to the initial brain drain at the officer level. A revolving door at the C-level was apparent with the emails that "New Person A" is the new Cxx, and less than a year later "New Person A" is leaving MITRE. Last year saw two members of the Board of Trustees leave, one of whom was the former CEO. A recent reorganization led to the "release" of many high level executives in the company. An even more recent talk from the board shows they're fully behind our "new" company.
Politics has no place at MITRE. I guess I'm wrong. It apparently has both place and purpose at MITRE.
