Pros
Working with the students and seeing them develop into hard working members of the tax paying community has to be the best part of the job. It comes with health benefits and even offers 401k (after a year of employment).
Cons
The pay is pretty poor for security, all other departments make a fair amount more. Staff that have been around a while are being paid less then new hires for the same job. The stress is unbelievable. The management tends to overlook a lot of issues with students and smooth over many incidents, mostly minor ones. Staff are run into the ground as there are not enough people hired to work each shift. There is little to no room for pay increases or promotion. The six months before you can get time off seems a bit excessive more so if you change from one job within the company to another as it's required to have another six month probation period. Most departments are micromanaged to an unexpected degree.
