Pros
Given the international climate and uplifted spirit of the company, Midas-PR is a fantastic place for anyone in the field of communications and PR to learn and grow. The company often works with high-profile and well-known clients which provide useful insight into many different industries for the workers. In many occasions, the company offers an opportunity for the staffs to voice their opinions and showcase their ideas for upcoming events regardless of their working position. Moreover, the company regularly challenges the employees to put out their best work through multiple hands-on projects that are both in and out of office - allowing the workers to meet new people outside the office unlike the typical 9-5 jobs.
Cons
Due to the nature of being a PR agency, the amount of workloads were overwhelmed at times. In many cases, the goals and objectives of the tasks given to the staffs were ambiguous - making it somewhat difficult for some employees to understand the direction of the project and therefore makes it harder for them to provide the right contents/works as requested. As a result, though not verbally asked, some staffs felt pressured to work long hours with no compensation for working overtime. Based on personal observation, the company has yet to come up with career opportunities and planning for the staffs. Career growth was not secured and it was difficult to envision a job promotion or a raise in salary. These circumstances prevent the staffs from seeing their own future as the company grows - resulting in their short-term stay with the company.
