Pros

My experience here has been great since I started over a year ago. Both my manager and CEO have been very accommodating, easy going, and great to work with. Originally the big appeal was that the company is flexible and understanding of family responsibilities or anything else you’d need. Apart from training and meetings, I was able to work from home ever since I started, and this has never posed as a problem with any management. Over time I have really enjoyed the actual job more and more. I have recently asked for additional responsibility (higher position + pay), and CEO was more than happy to oblige. My manager made sure the additional work was okay with me, seeing as I have kids, and overall has been very supportive. Coworkers have all been nice as well. From what I can see there’s a lot of loyalty and everyone seems to enjoy each other. I don’t speak to everyone on a daily basis as we are all across separate markets and departments, but on the day to day, it’s been a pleasure. I have felt very welcome since the start!

Cons

Structure of employee management isn’t entirely clear, but I suppose that can be a given with a small company. For the promotion I received, I certainly stumbled upon it, and had I not, the opportunity wouldn’t have been clear to reach for.

Pros

The amount of knowledge that can be gleaned from working for this company is outstanding. They are self made and self-sustaining. If you are willing to learn and work well under pressure this is a stepping stone to something better. Within this company you can be anything that's available. Christmas Bonus.

Cons

Don't expect to get put in a new position and be paid more right away. They'll need you to prove yourself. Even after you've done that you still have to ask to be paid what the other folks doing the same thing are being paid. The building is in shambles. In addition to my tech support duties I ran a jack-hammer on the front lobby and replaced ceiling tiles. If you are good at something or willing to learn, it's not always optimal to verbalize this fact or you may end up doing something that you don't want to be doing. (like moving 500lbs of batteries around)
