You’re right, we did have the misfortune of experiencing a dip in sales a few years ago. In order to keep the business healthy, the management team had to make some tough decisions. Not only are these choices difficult for us, but we understand that they directly impact the lives of our employees and their families.
At MGS we make it a priority to be open and honest with our team about the health of the company, sales forecast, goals for improvement and culture. We do this by holding department and all company meetings regularly, and we’ll continue to do so. In addition to this, our employees know they can go to their manager at any time with questions or concerns they may have. We’ve also since implemented a strategy for getting everyone involved, connected, communicating and working on the business at every level to make us better.
In regards to your comments about pay and benefits, MGS conducts regular market reviews of compensation and benefits from validated industry sources. This ensures MGS is competitive in our wage and benefits compensation packages. We strive to hire and retain the best employees in our industry.
