Pros
Pay is good for a work from home job. No driving in the snow or rain. Lots of opportunity for over-time. No patient contacts. No video feed/facetime, just communication via phone, chat or email. Great job for introverts. You can work from anywhere as long as you have good wifi. A lot of flexibility if needed as long as you don't abuse it.
Cons
A lot of sitting!! Very fast paced. Training is difficult because there is so much information to learn. Must be knowledgeable (or very willing to learn) about every medical procedure, treatment, drug, etc. that there is. A lot of learning as you go. Lots of typing and reading peer-review articles. This job is difficult to know what the "office" morale is like that day. Since communication is done mostly through email, it is hard to judge if someone is being snarky or just kidding with you. Seems to be a lot of turn over, they are always hiring new people. Tons of emails to keep up with!! Must be a good organizer - note taker. You need to have a good memory for this job. Job is 5 days a week 8 hours per day (3 -12 hr. days are not offered).
