Pros

Not far from the Ocean.

Cons

Top heavy - kinda like a big fraternity or sorority. Not great benefits. Check out Indeed dot com for real reviews. Sadly this company feels the need to reply to anything negative as though people aren't allowed to express their real experiences without empty feedback.

It’s hard to know where to begin from your review. Clearly you’re not happy and not feeling confident to speak with your supervisor or any member of management. That’s a problem particularly when open conversations are encouraged from the first day of work. The entire senior management team meets with new employees during orientation at which everyone is encouraged to stop in, call or write any one of them. We know we have opportunities to improve and are working on them but it’s hard to reconcile your review with the many others that find MEMIC to be the right fit and a great place to work. We strongly encourage you to start a conversation with senior management – it’s the best way to help change what’s bothering you.

Pros

Great benefits Sr. Leadership continuously adapting to keep workforce engaged - including management training, gallup engagement action planning, adjusting benefits package/bonus structure. All while keeping profitable growth at the forefront to keep the company secure as a stable employer.

Cons

Lots of ongoing change, so being nimble is important. Not necessarily a con, but can be if navigating change is hard for you. Upward mobility opportunities are limited, as it's not the largest employer relative to the industry. Also not necessarily a con, unless that's essential for you.
