Pros
-Co-workers are kind and willing to put in a lot of hard work to help kids do well -Most of the teachers and lower-end staff enjoy helping others -Flexible hours -Ability to manage a second (or third) job -Pick up useful skills in a start up environment
Cons
-Little to no opportunity to advance -Greedy management who treat employees poorly -No paid holidays or time off unless you get full-time offer, which takes a long time -Horrible benefits when you finally make full-time...Not even worth it -Owners make you feel guilty for missing a day for a doctor's appointment -VERY poor work/life balance. I know one girl who was there for what seemed like 60 hours a week -No lunch room or break room -Passive aggressive office culture -Owners have no clue what they want or how to respectfully communicate with customers -High turn over rate. New people join and quit every week
