Pros

Left the company as my interests lies in field/lab work more than back end. But overall had a really great experience joining the company. - Management was welcoming to new joiners by asking other colleagues from the same department out for lunch to better know each other - Very transparent with promotion and increments, the process of promotion and increment was stated during orientation giving a clear picture from the start - Most colleagues are nice and are very helpful with giving advice or helping at work. But like all other companies, there are a few "black sheep's" in the company that are unprofessional. But Kudos to management for addressing these issue in a professional manner. - Great work life balance. Was asked to stay back to OT once till late, but HR stepped in to help resolve the issue. Also noticed that other colleagues usually leave when work day ends. - Great leave benefits. Apart from the normal 14 days annual leave, we are also allowed to take 1 day compensatory leave per month, no question asked. This is helpful especially when getting manuscript burnouts. - Flexibility. Although the timing is fixed upon choosing, but we could choose to start work or end work earlier or later. - The company conducts weekly trainings to give advice on how to improve handling manuscripts. Often, colleagues will gather after the trainings to discuss together.

Cons

None, there are rules and regulations being set up. But at the end of the day just got to do what you are paid for

Pros

My experience with MDPI has been great. Their staff is professional and organized, and there's no shadiness in regards to pay. They provide training and English Editing guides, and there is room for advancement in the company.

Cons

Training was brief; however, sources and trainer are available beyond the training period.
