Company was family oriented until it was sold to a corporation who brought in their own executive leadership team to make the company more profitable. New team basically pushed out majority of the on-shore employees and replaced them all with off-shore resources.....resources who know absolutely nothing about the repossession / lending industry, but were responsible for the software development, QA testing, and Customer Support of the company's software products. This led to a HUGE decrease in customer satisfaction because Leadership stripped away any family aspect of the company and removed any customer familiarity when they decided to hire 90% offshore resources. Onshore employment ratio is about 10%, while offshore makes up the remaining percentage and once they let someone on-shore go, that individual is usually replaced with an off-shore resource. The only team that does not have off-shore resources are the Sales and Executive Leadership teams and all other teams are pre-dominantly offshore. This basically follows the Iron Triangle Theory: Fast, Cheap, or Good (pick two) because this company highly focuses on the fast and cheap aspects and deliberately ignores the "good", so customers really hate using the product. In addition to the company being "fast" & "cheap", Leadership is severely lacking and leaders often gatekeep an employee's career growth if they do not personally like you. This is the type of company where if you do not fall in line with exactly what Leadership says and wants or you challenge them, you will not be successful or get very far. Leaders often micromanage and leave fear in employees so team collaboration is severely lacking and the communication issues that exist between on-shore and offshore employees is counter-productive to any projects being completed on time or with great quality. This is also the type of company where Leadership will intentionally set you up to fail, so they can push you out the door when they realize you don't "fit in" with them and their clique, creating a horrible work environment for those who are not "favorited". If you challenge anyone within said clique, they take personal offense and use it against you instead of using the feedback to better the company and increase customer satisfaction. They will tell you the things you aren't doing right, but don't provide any resources or any company documentation for you to know what's expected of your role and how to improve your performance. They promote individuals who know absolutely nothing about the workings of their software products and often leave the hard-working employees with double / triple the work load to make up for those who don't know how to do their job. This ultimately led to invalid business decisions being made, which would ALWAYS negatively impact the customers and internal employees who had to urgently fix the issues and deal with the aftermath of the technical debt that just kept piling up. While I did not enjoy the Executive Leadership team's leadership style, if you know how to "suck up" and feed into a leader's pride and ego, while also silencing yourself, then this is the company for you. Otherwise, I suggest you steer far away from this company if you want to PROPERLY grow within your career and spare your mental and emotional health from being tarnished.
