Pros

Great bonuses. The company and owners have very high expectations for performance, but they leave you alone to do your job and expect professional results. However, there is definitely an open door policy between owners and employees. The office is small with only 15 employees, and everyone seems to be busy all the time. There is generous Paid Time Off of up to 4 and a half weeks per year plus holidays. Bonuses run up to 15% of base salary and are based on success of the company. Company has become much more relaxed place to work since change in ownership in 2017. Everyone gets along, but there's no time for "fun and games". I will continue to work here as long as possible because of the generous pay/bonuses and company's reputation in the community.

Cons

Lack of training program, no retirement plan (small company)

Pros

the checks cleared! and about it. insurance was great

Cons

The president had a stroke at the end of the year 2016 so it's probably on the downward slide for the company. Management always is very angry, there has to be a "whipping boy" at all times in the office. One of them regularly fumes and screams about the "stupid" clients while another one internalizes his anger and doesn't let anyone do any real work on his projects. Their designs are really sketchy and they are unwilling to stand up for their employees. Their idea of teaching consists of standing behind you and yelling at you about how to use autocad to draw a simple line, or telling you what needs to be done on a project one day and changing it the next without telling you then yelling at you because you can't read minds. They are unwilling to promote or give raises, I've been a victim of this but also seen very capable people become a P.E. only to get offered a very small raise to which they just leave the company. Other companies in the multi tenant building express heavily racist and sexist views out in the open. This is a sinking ship and you should look elsewhere.
