Hourly staff can get as much overtime as they can handle. Peers "in the trenches with you" are great sounding boards. Because they get it.
Cons
Terrible management interaction. Very high pressure environment. Pay rate is low in an apples to apples comparison. They hire from outside, not advance people. Leadership creates a bullying atmosphere to supervisory management. The expectation is to pass that pressure to hourly reports. High turn over rate in all areas gives a very insecure feeling. People in upper management positions resign too often, looks like there are bad things they are escaping.Requests to lie about productivity, in reporting, as to appear like we are hitting dollar goals. work life balance is not a phrase that they accept. The company have an expectation of constant support.
