Pros

Great for expanding network and skills. A few talented colleagues. The office is new and beautiful, but don’t let that fool you..they can’t afford it.

Cons

Support is none existent. Founder is full of empty promises and upper management is grossly under qualified...severely lacking leadership skills. There are a few horrible people who are employed by Mash so best to keep to yourself. Don’t expect to be paid what your worth and absolutely don’t expect your extensive contributions to go noticed. Do expect to work 60+ hour work weeks. Really don’t understand why some designers stay there to be honest. Life it too short to work in a toxic environment. Many people have left and/or have been fired in the past year. Big red flag people.

Pros

Mash is a company where everyone's opinions are valued it has a family type of culture everyone knows each other. I worked there for many years and I learned how to work in a fast paced design studio environment, collaborate with different departments from engineering to business development and manufacturing facilities. As a designer you get to see your designs come to life from concept stages to production and it's all in one place; which can be very fulfilling to see all your hard work come to fruition. If you really want to work and learn more about the office furniture industry Mash Studios is a really great place to start your career. They design great quality products for their clients with authentic materials and their client list is quite impressive.

Cons

Working on a fast paced design studio has its drawbacks sometimes the workload can be overwhelming and it does get very stressful. There were times I felt like I was overworked and it was hard to balance my personal life with work. There wasn't much room for growth in my department, but some other departments do have it.

Pros

when there was revenue - the kitchen was stocked, there was enough colleagues / employees to fulfill deadlines, etc.

Cons

when the revenue dried up - so did everything else, including everyone's jobs
