Pros

The company has the opportunity to hire some of the brightest minds but it is true that there is a lot of competition and politics like in every large company. Many jobs are truly interesting and unique. With business units both in shipping and energy, there is a vast variety of career options available, and performance is generally rewarded. There are a lot of international opportunities as well within the Group. In general the company is great on making quick decisions and executing on them.

Cons

Quick decisions are good, but sometimes they are too quick. Having business acumen is an asset but focus is mostly on numbers instead of people. Most leaders are good, but there are some truly awful dinasours who are kept for some reason or the other. While they are great as technical leaders they fail as people leaders and that is tolerated for the sake of business. There is sometimes a cultural conflict between newcomers and people who have literally grown up in the company and are set in their ways. Compensation is OK but salary progression is not great unless you are promoted.

Pros

I used to love working here. I love the people I work with. The level of clients we get to work with is great. National, International brands.

Cons

Frequent reorganizations, salaries are not even keeping up with inflation (which is not a "merit" increase, additional responsibilities for no additional compensation, frequent layoffs and offshoring. When layoffs occur, there are always several positions / responsibilities that are not backfilled and no longer owned by anyone. Changing work from home / hybrid / full time back in office policies continue to change. Employees no longer trust the leadership. There is no stability. There is no incentive to do great work. It has not been valued.
