Pros

Traditional style company with good work life balance. Lots of varied duties which keeps things interesting. In my experience co-workers and management were always happy to support and help you grow within the company. I also found the CEO to be extremely supportive during a difficult personal period. Great to be part of a company that has been around for so long and makes such amazing products.

Cons

Very limited public transport options. No work from home although this means no expectations of working out of hours.

Pros

Coming from salons and spas into Business development was daunting. The 1st few days felt overwhelming, but the CEO took the time out of her incredibly busy schedule to teach and support me. She figured out very quickly that I learn by touch and feel and she assisted me to learn the ropes, always with kindness and a caring attitude. Which she does with everyone else as well. No question was ever silly and listening to her story and the empire she has built is nothing short of inspiring. I feel very lucky to walk through our office doors every day and feel valued as an employee. With admin being a huge part of the role, everyone is always helpful if I have a question, and to top it all off, we actually have lots of fun in the office. I can see myself having a long career at LYCON. 😊

Cons

I have not come across any cons.

Pros

Other staff were nice to me

Cons

The CEO is the craziest person I've ever worked for. She had a list of about 75 rules that you could and couldn't do- including how to use the toilet and being friends with your coworkers. She would bully you, would show no trust in the work that I was doing and she is the biggest micromanager EVER. There was no flexibility with WFH and we worked off a desktop computer - super outdate (like being in the dark ages).
