Great co-workers, flexibility in scheduling

Lumos often gives instructors far fewer hours than they request -- sometimes as little as two weeks per summer. When working there, I knew many other instructors who had thought that they could work there the whole summer, and had to scramble to find other work when they were only scheduled for a few weeks.
