Pros

Now that so many people have left you can earn more money through things like longevity bonuses. As an engineer, since sales are so poor you are pretty much getting paid to be on staff and not really do any work.

Cons

Where to start? It really feels like the wheels have fallen off here at Lumenate. Back in August the powers that be decided to cut bonuses for all of the engineering staff. It really looks to me like some major cash flow issues but in an all hands call with the company the president said it was "not a cash flow issue but a balance sheet issue". I'm no finance guy, but I don't really understand a difference there. This was after four or five layoffs happened in a little over a year. Apparently they didn't think far enough ahead to realize what that decision would do to the company because after some key engineering personnel left the company as a result, they abandoned their plan for paying bonuses out over time and instead decided to pay everything a full month after telling us that it wasn't going to happen fully until February of next year. Amazingly, that didn't stem the flow of people leaving and they decided to offer a longevity bonus for those that stick around to the end of the year. I'm just hoping that I'm not here to be able to collect that. All in all, during my time here I haven't really had any idea of what the long term goals of the company are. Add to that, I don't think anyone knows what differentiates this company from any other reseller out there and it seems like a grim future.

Pros

Lumenate supports its customers, employees and the community. Employees are encouraged to participate in company sponsored events such as feeding the homeless and serving the less fortunate. Lumenate also supports work/life balance while providing a challenging environment for professional self improvement.

Cons

Like many other growing organizations, Lumenate faces ongoing challenges as it improves. I appreciate management speaking openly about how our team can help make a difference as we move towards a better delivery model for our customers.
