Pros
Great people generally. Some no so great, but made some friends here I'll keep. Lots of freedom to do what you want, when you feel like it. Which isn't really a pro.
Cons
No structure, no planning, no objectives, no focus. Nobody knows what the hell they're doing, so everyone just does whatever they feel like and never writes any of it down. No transparency - things are kept a secret until the last minute, like not telling people their immediate team mates are leaving until a couple of weeks before. How are you going to hand over? The C suite is way too big, the CEO and the CFO are merrily running the company into the ground, to the point where they've screwed it up so badly they've had to lay off lots of staff. Unfortunately, this meant lots of people who were 'easy fires' (US hires, and newbies) were impacted. Funnily enough, the CEO and the CFO are still in place (and I think the finance team now makes up about 10% of the company haha, you can see who made the decisions)... Also, most of the C Suite were rude, loud, unapproachable, and more than half of them were in almost every meeting arguing in front of Junior staff... The product is the foundation of a SaaS company, and there is a lot of great stuff going on. But it is sadly being built on a crumbling foundation which makes PLG and marketing pretty impossible. No wonder the retention and churn rates are so poor (although this was always glossed over in company updates, where the CEO reminded us it is NORMAL for a start-up to run at a loss... let me tell you buddy, this 19 year old company IS NOT A START UP).
