Pros

1) The people are FANTASTIC. At least the ones who have been there for over 4-5 years. 2) This is really a place where you can voice something and be heard. (Ex: If you request a project, usually you get it, or something very similar.) I still genuinely believe that if there was anything they could do to make you happier, they would. But this place is just too small to be everything to everyone. 3) The bonuses are generous, and they go out to all levels. In 2009, they actually cut bonuses for managers but still gave them out to most entry-senior level consultants. 4) Four weeks of PTO, with one floating holiday, not including company paid holidays. You roll over up to 100% to the next year. 5) $45 per diem for every full day you are on business travel (highest in the industry). 6) Because of how small and disorganized this place is, you can get away with a lot. 7) No one ever questions you on how you use your PTO or when you decide to use it...unless you're working exclusively with one of the PMs that have problems listed in my "Cons" section. 8) It is Monday-Friday casual in the office. You can wear pretty much whatever you want. Just no athletic gear. When a client is in the office visiting, then everyone is expected to adhere to business casual. 9) Double-edged sword: It's a small company that has become very slim after rounds of lay-offs. The remaining people are pulled in all different directions like some juggling circus act. People are managing projects, implementing modules they've never done before, doing post go-live support, and inheriting projects in the middle of its lifecycle. Because of this, you really do pick up a barrage of skills very quickly.

Cons

Over the past 2 years, they have brought in some project managers who possess at least one of the following problems: 1) Have no experience with managing an ERP project. 2) Unhelpful, hard to get along with/talk to, and refuses to share knowledge. 3) Arrogant and treat their resources like inferior servants. 4) Uses "Quid Pro Quo" and creates subgroups within the already-tiny company. The protect those that play their little games and entertain them during happy hours, and send the rest home with no money to feed the kids. Other things: - This is a small company trying all sorts of things. It appears that they are in survival mode, trying to bill out as much as possible to stay profitable. It is kind of chaotic right now so be prepared for the swings. - Compensation is terrible. I started out decent. Instead of paying me more as I learned more and more, they gave me the highest raise when I knew the least. This was not due to the economy either. In 2008, they gave "heathy" raises, but only to those who are buddies with senior management. - Your title means nothing. Salary bands are huge. Someone who is a Senior Consultant 1 can be making double of another Senior Consultant 1. Literal fact. - Not much opportunity to grow your career. You can outgrow this place in less than 5 years. - Lack of training. Sink (fired) or swim (make it billable).

Pros

This Consulting Firm has a very careful, thoughtful approach toward how they hire and treat their trusted employees and they are second to none in how they take care of their valued clients. A rare combination in the consulting world, that is for sure !

Cons

NONE- it may not seem plausible, but I cannot find any negatives to say about this employer. But check them out and see for yourself

Pros

Top-notch, group of professionals that achieves impressive results for industry leading clients across a variety of industries. Growth over the past year and a half was strong and in line Senior Management's Strategic Plan. 2013 looks to be another good year of continued growth. The work environment is professional with many smart and friendly people. The new headquarter location (as of March 2013) by DFW airport is very convenient; especially for those traveling from out of town to Lucidity for meetings or training. A very good place for experienced consultants to jump in and make an impact, and for new consultants to gain valuable experience with industry leading clients. Oracle Platinum Level Status is a significant accomplishment earned over the years that sets Lucidity apart from many other firms.

Cons

As the company has experienced tremendous growth over the past year and a half, and looks to continuing to do so, career path development is key in building Lucidity, together. This will enable and empower employees, while ultimately being beneficial in growing our solutions based business.
