Pros

The tenured people who were part of the organization under Eric Schnur's leadership.

Cons

The senior leadership team is a bunch of individuals who only care about their own success. They have been captured by the failed approach of implementing DEI; thus ruining an previously remarkable culture. Additionally, they have been fools to think that investing in China and India is the best for the future of the company. We'll see how that works out with the Trump Administrations new approach to global markets.

Pros

This is a fantastic, future oriented company with world class products and technology. Amazing leaders (CEO, CFO, segment president) that is the most intelligent and sharpest I’ve worked for. If you are an ambitious professional who wants to make a huge difference, you will quickly stand out, very likely rise in the org rapidly, and have the ability to see the true result of your work. There is leadership support and willingness if you want to drive for results - not a lot of red tape and agile. New campus coming in 2028. If better talent comes into the organization, this will be an opportunity to be a part of a huge turnaround.

Cons

The company had gone through some difficult times prior to the new executive team stepping in and what seemed to be below par standards. The set of employees used to the previous standards are not used to the bar being set at that of a comparable public company and perceive this to be an issue with the leaders. See my note in the Pros section - if you are ambitious and have drive to make a difference, you will not have these same concerns.

Pros

Even with current political tensions, LZ is still allowing cultural programs which support diversity and inclusion throughout the organization. Working in a lab setting and having supportive management that understand work life balance is beneficial as long as the work is getting done. Supportive of using company time to volunteer in community investment. Most employees are supportive and willing to help each out.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement. Low yearly pay increases, with too much focus on pushing individuals to do more as “personal development”. Health benefit package is limited and costly, vacation promised isn’t always given, too many middle and upper management, with continued turnover before you even know who they are and what they do. Most scientist and engineers have no other working experience besides education and lack experience, which prevents opportunities for innovation. Co-ops have better opportunities than long term full time employees.
