Pros

Agency Work life balance Decent pay A few very talented peers that tried their best to support the company

Cons

Poor business management No growth since gearbox acquisition Ruined relationships with companies they contracted with due to poor talent placement Leadership played favorites, and kept around expensive talent that didn't have the experience to support projects they were placed in Lots of above individual contributor pay grade people that just sat around collecting a paycheck Senior leadership pumped the company full of new hires and projects when borrowing was cheap, without the infrastructure to succeeded on them. Then sold out to embracer group and retired shortly after failing due to mismanagement of funds and hiring. Business development was unable to secure meaningful work for the last 3+ years

Pros

- Used to care a lot about employees, and we felt it - Holiday studio closure from Xmas to New Years - No crunch time, respects time off - Co-workers are great!

Cons

- PTO (15 days for the first 3 years, very limiting) and for unlimited sick time you need a doctor's note - Most teams are contracted out, and hard to feel "connected" to Lost Boys when the contracted company is more of a family than your own company - Going on 2 years since our last performance review - Layoffs happen, get told it's the industry and it'll get better, but hard to believe the CEO as it keeps happening - Benefits worsening(4 weeks less of paid parental leave, stricter sicktime policy, etc.) - Embracer. Enough said.
