Pros

Admittedly, the company is great to work for if your a casual and are looking for a short term job. It's only after time that the cons seem to seep down from the top and begin to invade your work life, like a virus. -Easy work -Good Products -Great customers

Cons

Company has no consideration for their staff. Very hard company to work for if you are someone who like to feel appreciated and treated fair. The way management deals with their staff isn't personalised and very fake. Retail is a hard place to work, I personally thrive in the environment and would see myself as a very hard working and high achieving employee, however, this company's very very very very very poor treatment of their staff is disappointing. DO NOT following through with incentives and promised 'benefits' for staff. UNSTABLE management.... there is such a high turnover rate that they are constantly moving managers around... cool, there goes my stability and consistency in the company... this has had very negative consequences with sales and performance in stores. It comes down to the company not having value in their employees.

Pros

There were no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Corporate had such unrealistic expectations and would micromanage by calling throughout the day asking all employees what the current sales numbers were at and what each employee would do to turn it around. There was barely any foot traffic and the regional manager would push for everyone to go through out the mall and food court to get people to come into the store, as well as stand in front of the store to lure people to come in. It was so cringey and seemed to turn customers away even more. It seemed and felt desperate. Everything was focused on numbers and not any concern for customers or employees at all. It seemed to have gone against everything Lorna Jane stood for and all the motivational “vibes” and sayings in stores and on clothing. It was cliquey and not an inclusive environment. The store manager was great and tried her best, but none of the employees would listen and basically wanted to sit on their phones instead of work and do things like basic tasks such as go-backs, make sure the store and merchandise was tidy and organized. Not unreasonable asks at all. There was even a pregnant employee who got in trouble by the regional manager for elevating her feet while on a break in the back. Crazy!
