Pros

The people. Most of the employees are friendly and fun and really passionate about the industry! There was always great lunchtime conversations.

Cons

The managing style had bad communication and I barely ever knew what was going on causing me to make assumptions and then stress out badly. The first week I went out to get lunch and when I came back I found that Friday's were days that the studio bought lunch for everyone and no one had told me. Still I got weird looks when I came back and realized how much of a jerk I must have seemed. I also missed the first scrum meeting and was told after the fact when and where the scrums were and not to miss it again. I never got a schedule or a deadline so I never knew if I was working too fast or too slow or where I stood with the company. So stressful.

Pros

I worked at Loot Drop for three years as a programmer on one of the game teams. The pros of working at Loot Drop were the experienced team, a good learning environment and good pay. It was a fun environment.

Cons

Some of the people were not traditional game industry people, and so there was sometimes a lack of understanding about why a particular feature might be important. Some dead wood.

Pros

Loot Drop was an excellent place to work. Very experienced team of people who were willing to work with the entry level people to get them up to speed. Open management. You knew what was going on day to day.

Cons

Loot Drop is a start up, so you won't find buffets and hair cuts for everyone, but it's a friendly working environment.
