Pros

None really. Doesn't make sense to join here out of college.

Cons

This job requires virtually no skill and is a glorified administrative assistant role. You spend your day literally cold-calling professionals and fishing for resumes as a third-tier recruitment firm with absolutely no brand in the market place. You pretend to be someone who actually knows something about finance but in actuality you have no idea what you are talking about. At the same time pay is low ($45K to $40K base salaries!), while you learn absolutely nothing begging candidates to fill terrible jobs for cheap clients who are looking to cut costs and work on 15% to 20% base salary searches. Honestly, I would never wish this place on my worst enemy. These guys and GQR are literally the bottom feeders of the industry.

Long Ridge Partners Response

This review is false and inaccurate. It is filled with false data (including compensation data) and appears to be written by a competitor that we poached someone from. Since 2008 Long Ridge Partners has lost two Recruiters to competitors, and those competitors were large multi national recruiting firms. Long Ridge Partners prides itself on our culture, retention rate and professional relationship with our outstanding business partners. We encourage anyone that has any questions about the above to reach out to any member of our team

Pros

Great clients to recruit for and firm is willing to spend money to make money when it comes to investing in resources. Lots of perks - full office (including support staff) goes to Caribbean every other year and many outings and out-of-office gatherings throughout the year.

Cons

It’s recruiting. You either like the commission structure or you don’t.
