Pros

I got the opportunity to work with an international team and met some great people who do genuinely care about other people and about doing good work. I got exposure to a variety of tasks within my function, though some of that was trial by fire because there was no one else to do it.

Cons

I used to be part of the HR organization. I saw another review saying "HR here is useless," and they are absolutely right, because you can't change the culture at a founder-led organization when the founder won't actually take feedback. I went through 3 managers in 4 years because everyone new leader would experience the same pattern that I did: optimism about easy ways to improve the company culture, putting plans in motion and seeing some small level of progress, and then getting stonewalled by executive leadership for anything more ambitious, before finally realizing there was no point and quitting or being forced out. They can't seem to retain leadership in marketing or sales, either. The culture is unrelentingly negative. Beyond that, it just isn't a professional environment set up for success. People are overworked, with no support in sight. In 4 years, we never once had a hiring plan, or clear business goals that were shared across the company to inform department level planning and individual goals. It all felt subject to the whims of the CEO.

Pros

There are few positives to working here, but one thing I can say is that the company has some talented employees who genuinely care about their work in the WMS industry. Some of my colleagues have been a source of support.

Cons

Management rules by fear and humiliation. I watched executives have full-blown screaming matches in the open office, with meeting rooms doing nothing to contain the chaos. Managers regularly yell at staff, calling people out in front of peers, making sarcastic, demeaning comments, and creating an environment where everyone walks on eggshells. I personally heard managers use racial slurs toward employees during heated moments, and no meaningful action was taken afterward. Performance reviews are arbitrary and used as a tool to intimidate rather than to develop people. HR is beyond useless, they feel like another arm of management. Stress and anxiety are constant, turnover is high, and talented people have left because they refuse to be treated that way.
