Pros

Like I said I learned a lot But also Pop a shot...free breakfast...fun culture until you see right through it Met some really good friends too <3

Cons

So this job is straight up cold calling which if that’s what you want to do definitely go for it. And also if you like getting paid $12 an hour definitely go for it. There’s a lot of opportunity and excitement thrown at you....but it isn’t attainable what so ever except maybe for a certain few people. You don’t really need knowledge to get sales here, just need luck, persistence, and good timing. Good timing with the people who you speak with on the phone, and also good timing with the managers who decide to pay attention to you. Towards the last couple months here I was pretty burnt out not doing much and feeling bad for everyone else who is too. I had a lot of time to observe and really see what was going on. Everyone in the office is at different levels and have basically all plateaued - and the new people who are on a roll (which mostly everyone goes through) are just a plateau waiting to happen. There is no help on any level and it was honestly hard to be listening to other coworkers who really needed help but none of the managers would notice. Not saying it’s their fault or anything because there’s only 2 managers for like 15 people needing specific help. Oh yeah I forgot to talk about this thing called quota. Yeah that’s not easy to attain either. There is not one single person in that office out of my 7 months here that has consistently hit quota every pay cycle. Much less barely anyone in the company. Also the pay out structure is sketchy and no one even knows how you truly get payed out on your books (EVEN UPPER MANAGEMENT). I like to call that sketch. There’s this little thing called the sales dashboard. That was fun to look at. It was like there were always new names every pay cycle due to high turnover, because it’s not easy to hit quota. And time after time again it’s the managers who focus on the people doing well. I get the fact it’s sales and that’s the nature or whatever but you cannot build a strong sales force without addressing everyone’s personal needs and helping them individually. Like I said even with more help and knowledge it really doesn’t matter because it’s all about good timing. Okay now the prospect tool. This was useless. You’re supposed to use keywords to search for ads but why is it when I use a good keyword there’s only 20 ads that pop up, half are trash, and the other half is either taken my someone else in the company OR they have already been called by one of us in the past. No fresh leads except maybe on a Monday morning. It’s just a tiring cycle that never ends and there are no good leads. The market itself is super saturated. But I will say I’m super thankful for the knowledge I’ve learned. Now, to all the people who are still working there literally waiting for my review....do yourself a favor and just make yourself happy. You guys are awesome and don’t need to be in a place where you feel like such a lifeless robot. Know your worth and just move on. Wake up and smell the paycheck, there’s not going to be a change unless you change something yourself.

Thank you for your candid review. North Carolina is our newest office and it's clear that we need to do a better job of setting expectations for the role and getting feedback earlier. I'm glad you learned a lot and met some good friends but I'm concerned about some of the points you brought up. Our sales dashboard and prospecting tools were created recently in an effort to make the job more efficient and transparent. These are tools that we are working on every day to improve. This is the first review I’ve read where our pay model was referred to as being “sketchy,” everything we do is 100% transparent. The only reason there would be any confusion or uncertainty on a commission is if we (LP) didn’t get paid by the client. The new names you are seeing on the board are new hires throughout the company; not a result of turnover. We are one of the fastest growing digital agencies in the U.S. and were ranked #3 in the country by Inc. Magazine for top workplaces last year. We try very hard to reward hard workers and provide an upbeat, positive environment for our employees. I’m sorry you didn’t have a great experience. We are going to work with our management team to address each of these points and continue to improve. Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Great team of people on every level, from the training to the teams we are on when we get started- everyone is so supportive and they really make the workday more fun. The training and the amount of resources available really do lay a foundation for success in this role that's hard to beat.

Cons

It's hard to say that there are really any "cons" because this job is entirely what you make of it.
