Pros

- very good development process (among other small companies they are dealing super good in terms of code quality and delivery. not the outstanding, but on a pretty high level) - good level of team members (pretty solid developers, more junior staff is learning quickly) - they are pretty flexible in offering flexibility for your appointments and etc urges, as well as a (short) sick pay in full if happens - courses funding (a bit common thing for Magento companies - to offer to cover successful-only certification or some courses to rake, but still nice to have) - office location in Richmond (just by the train station), pretty easy to commute Overall, I'd say it will be a good experience to work there as a developer (if you are without any salary\position ambitions as per cons) - nice development team, good processes, possibility to learn as well as a good work-life balance, office location.

Cons

- no remote work is allowed unfortunately, a strict "office-only" and "9 to 5 hours" approach and even no running late excuses. I have been personally approached by the Director about why have I been late for 5-7 minutes (this happened only twice in two weeks). also, one day I injured my leg and was barely walking for several days. still got asked to visit the office. - no salary reviews or salary indexation I've been there for almost 4-5 years and never had any salary review, once asked - denied with the reason like "trust me, we are paying a good salary, no point to raise it". so not even the slightest adjustment\indexation. not to mention that my starting salary was only at about upper-mid-level but still not exceeding the mid-level, e.g. I had a friend working at the next office on £5K more for the same position (Sr. Magento Dev) and had some offers in exceed of +£10K but in Central London. - no possibility to grow (position-wise) on one hand, there are not enough developers to allocate a Lead role (as the company is relatively small). but on other hand, they are willing to recruit someone else rather than allow others to naturally take this role from the staff available and willing to take it on. for example, there was a Junior developer that stayed Junior... for over 3 years without any salary or position review. - so-called "core" team members some senior members are with the company for many years... and whatever happens, their decision is preferable. these are some "core" members that have a very close relationship (friendship) with Directors and their position is totally invulnerable. you simply can not argue with them - the Director will stand out straight away to put you down harshly.
