My managers are amazing and allowed for growth throughout my tenure @ LGC. They are amazing! I have a lot of autonomy and am able to work on projects that are super interesting. Management is really flexible and seem committed to professional development for employees!
Cons
The only downside is that a lack of interaction with other departments, but given COVID its understandable.

Pros
A very supportive and career-oriented program that provides high-level experience for recent college graduates seeking "real" (read: important) experience in the sustainability field. There are lots of opportunities for technical training and extensive resources for future positions after the service year. There is also an education award through AmeriCorps that can be used for either student debt or further education.
Cons
Although it is no secret, the pay is low. Additionally, cost of living adjustments (raises) are based on where one's project site is, not where one lives, which can put fellows serving in low-income locations at a disadvantage. The allowed vacation/sick time is also less than most full-time positions.
