Pros

The technology is great. The employees are a great bunch of people who are all motivated and excited by the tech aspect of this company.

Cons

There is minimal and unsupervised training for current and new employees. Have had many conversations where staff sometimes do not even know the direction or what to focus on. Flexible work only if you are in a remote location outside of HQ (Perth, WA), otherwise you will be expected to come in. Locafy pushed for a NASDAQ listing which was achieved in March 2022 however during that time the upper management were unfocused on the state of the company, the staff and culture. From then to now (March 2022 - March 2023) management is completely removed from the rest of the staff leaving us unsure of company direction, and the only cultural incentive is that we have a beer after work on a Friday. Moral has been the lowest of any company I have worked at since they fired an entire department on new years eve with a basic explanation as to why it happened and expected us to be happy/relieved that a team that was low performing was now gone. I have never in my entire career been as disgusted in how this was handled by the companies CEO.

Supportive, tight-knit team where everyone helps each other Genuine “family” culture — you’re valued, not just a number Open communication and approachable leadership

Cons

As a smaller company, resources can be stretched at times Fast pace means you often wear multiple hats Limited formal structure — great for flexibility, but not for everyone
