Pros

Live Techologies install was a once in a lifetime opportunity. This was the greatest company anyone has ever worked for in AV. Nothing will ever compare to what we had from about 2014-2019. Everyone who has ever worked for someone else likely agrees. Especially anyone who was there when we were sold to the worst-ran company in history known as New Era.

Cons

Rusty broke off and renamed Live Technologies install division into SI-Technologies. Then sold it off to New Era technology. What a complete disaster. We went from the best company anyone has ever worked for to I don't even know what to call new era. Go look at their reviews. They're the laughing stock of the AV industry. It changed the lives of every individual on the Live Techologies install side - for the worse. We lost our good benefits, our total compensation package was reduced, 401K match was peanuts compared, lost our free gym membership through insurance, lost our health incentive checks, lost our bonus structure, lost our yearly raises (merit based), lost our culture, lost clients, lost almost everything. They changed from the BEST system anyone has ever used to the 100% absolute WORST system ever known as Connectwise. I hope Rusty knows - if he cares- that the company that he built or helped build turned into dust...

Pros

I freaking love this place! I love the employees. Very friendly. It is a busy atmosphere but you have to understand the job! That’s what they do! They thrive to be the best and that’s what they/we are! Can’t wait for next assignment! Did the color street in Arizona and boy it was fun!!!

Cons

Really have nothing negative to say about it.

Pros

The people that work here and the passion they put into their work is beyond anything I've seen. We truly care about the quality of the installations and we always make things right in the end. If you like a huge variety of work, you'll find it here. You'll find your self installing sound systems in large chuches, lighting in theatres, videoconferencing systems in conference rooms. You name it, all of the above. Overall, leadership in the sales and installation side of things is good. Not sure about the CEO though. He tries to hide.

Cons

It seems like certain individuals in leadership worship money over everything. It feels like they don't care about the hardships and stress they introduce into installers' lives when there is money on the table to be made. Its pretty outrageous to see a certain few people benefit greatly when they put other people through difficulty. Difficulty and stress like extremely short urgent project timelines and weekend work with little notice. I'm also not sure if they realize the amount of talent they have. It feels like they think its just easy and anyone off the street can do it for little pay. Also, there is a destructive level of nepotism happening...causing stress on extremely valuable resources.

Regarding your concern with the leadership, I would encourage you to take advantage of our open door policy and arrange a time to discuss your thoughts with them. The executive management always makes time to work through concerns of the employees with the intent of making ongoing improvements to our culture and capabilities. The best ideas to grow the company can come from anywhere in the organization. With over a hundred full time employees at LIVE!, creating revenue and executing projects to meet our margin goals is critical. If the financial goals of the company are not met, the well being of LIVE! and our team members will be at risk. The executive management must keep a hand on the financial performance otherwise, the company has no future. At the same time, we are committed to hiring employees who will be the best cultural fit and training them on the skills required for the role. It is a difficult process and we depend on each team member to help in the development of the new hires. I appreciate your input and the talent that you bring to work each day!
