Pros

Free products from clients' samples Opportunity to network at events 'Recognition' opportunities ie. Employee of the month

Cons

The pros are not worth the cons. The recognition opportunities in my experience have been a facade. You may be employee of the month, but the behaviour from management during that month doesn't reflect that. You get blamed, you get put down, sometimes even shouted at in morning team meetings (I have witnessed this with others). It is 'normal' if you cry about your job daily I was told when I opened up to a colleague. I am shocked that this agency is receivibg awards for them being 'best employer', as they have been my worst experience ever, and I know this was also true for many other employees there. The responses to bad reviews on here are not honest, and they try to hide a lot of their faults publicly. Easy for management to say 'it's all about perspective' when they haven't been in the shoes of a junior who isn't supported and who is taken advantage of, being asked to do chores for the owner like buy her dog food and bring her clothes to the dry cleaning... and then svolded for not keeping up with the immense workload, or not doing enough unpaid overtime like everyone else. You have been warned - but if you work for them and have a really tough time like I did, don't be afraid to quit early, you'll save yourself a lot of mental scars and will be able to work for a new company that actually supports and values you no matter your position.

Hello again. Thank you for taking the time to come back to Glassdoor several years after you left your first negative review (with spelling and grammatical errors), that is posted purely out of spite and a sense of entitlement, knowing full well that reviews of this nature hurt individuals who have worked hard to make Little Red Rooster the success that it is today. I am saddened to say that this review reflects more on you as a disgruntled ex-employee who holds a grudge and has issues with authority rather than it does the Company. We have a lot of talented, loyal, hardworking people here at LRR who are fed up with unfounded unfair reviews that are obviously written as a vendetta. It is unfortunate that you feel you had such a negative experience at LRR, I can however guarantee that this is not the consensus. I must clarify that this review presents a one-sided and exaggerated account that does not accurately reflect the reality of our workplace. Our agency is recognised for its excellence in management and employee satisfaction for a reason: we prioritise fostering a supportive, rewarding, and inclusive environment. Recognition programs such as "Employee of the Month" are not hollow gestures, but sincere acknowledgments of hard work and dedication. If, however, there were specific concerns about management behavior, those should have been raised through appropriate internal channels, rather than resorting to anonymous public forums where misinformation can be easily spread. Regarding the claims of mistreatment, we strongly refute the allegations of shouting or unfair treatment in meetings. Professionalism is a core value at our agency, and all staff are expected to maintain respect toward one another, regardless of position. If incidents were misinterpreted or miscommunicated, it is regrettable, but it is also unfair to tarnish the entire agency based on isolated experiences. It is also important to note that we have clear policies on overtime and workloads. We do not condone excessive demands, and anyone feeling overwhelmed should communicate directly with HR or management rather than letting resentment build up. Likewise, suggesting personal errands are a routine expectation is farcical; these were isolated tasks that are neither obligatory nor common, and as a junior in the team, most individuals at this level are happy to help wherever needed, coffee runs, setting up meeting rooms, emptying the dishwasher etc. because they are all a small part of a larger role, something called teamwork. In conclusion, while we understand that not every workplace is ‘a fit’ for everyone, we stand by our award-winning culture, and we encourage open, honest communication. Negative experiences, when dealt with professionally, can lead to solutions — but resorting to baseless accusations on an online forum only hinders constructive dialogue. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and encourage you to engage with your future employers in a more productive and holistic manner.

Pros

I had had the pleasure of working at LRR for a number of years having previously worked with the founder Victoria in the Digital Division at Cohn & Wolfe and have been impressed with all that she has achieved then and throughout her career. I’ve always admired Victoria's go-getter attitude and exceptional work ethic. She has always led with a strong sense of accountability and an unwavering focus on results, setting a high standard for herself and everyone around her. What truly sets Victoria apart in her CEO role at Little Red Rooster is how deeply she values her team. From organising international retreats to investing in meaningful initiatives like creating a food pantry during the pandemic, she consistently shows that people come first. She fosters an environment where individuals are empowered to perform at their best. Victoria and the agency bring a refreshing, no-nonsense approach to her client consultancy offering a honest viewpoint that can drive real impact rather than a surface-level solution to appease someone. We have collaborated on several successful UK/US projects over the years and share similar values around 'working hard but having fun' as well an 'integrity' first mind-set. I’m really excited to be working at the agency as we expand into North America and look forward to what we’ll all accomplish next.

Cons

Vic is a very hard worker and I wish at times she would slow down. Sometimes she is hard to keep up with!

Thanks for the review. So many positives so thank you. It’s great to hear. We are so happy you like working here. I can’t argue with that competitive environment but I can try and help with long hours. Please do try and leave on time and come and talk to me (Vic) or your line manager if you fee your hours are spiralling. We can help reprioritse, delegate etc. PR is a job that can often feel like it's never 'finished' there will always be another person you could reply to or pitch you could write. It is about prioritising what has to happen now and what can be moved. If you need help with this please talk to me (Vic), your line manager or your buddy. You can use the Engagement Multiplier to talk to me anonymously if that helps. I appreciate PR can be long hours especially when we have events with press and clients but do make sure you take advantage of our unlimited holiday policy to ensure you have enough time away from work to recharge.
