Pros

Working outdoors in a beautiful setting Meeting many enthusiastic, kind colleagues

Cons

Extremely messy and poor infrastructure. Little to no connectivity between departments resulting in constant confusion and ineptitude. This is an org where the top poses as if it cares about its employees but has no real systems in place to nurture an equitable culture. There is inequity across the board; from salary/wage disparity to blatant favoritism in regard to assigning workloads, to flimsy public-facing safety measures, to internal safety issues with tech and employee data. Everything has a last-minute feel to it and feels unsupported from higher-ups. Do not expect to feel like there are any fundamental company resources available to you. Do expect to feel exploited and overlooked by those benefiting from nepotism.

Pros

- The park staff is incredibly diverse and inclusive, with folks of various gender identities and cultural backgrounds. - Everyone has your back if you're part of the team. If you need a bit of help, ask! Most times if they're free someone will help you out. - There's great food nearby, and food trucks within the park!

Cons

- This is pretty obvious, but if you have any serious allergies or issues with sun exposure, this won't be for you. - You will almost always be standing. - Sometimes guests are frustrated about seating or late arrivals. They're going to look for someone to blame or express their frustration to, and that might be you. It's expected with public-facing jobs, but it's important to remember. - The island attracts a lot of tourists. That's all.

Pros

Island is beautiful and hours are flexible. Chill work environment.

Cons

Weather since it is outdoors however, a lot of resources are provided. Can require a lot of patience and awareness for long period of time since visitors are always asking questions.
