Not enough people to take bigger steps

I love working for a startup. You get lots of responsibility and feel like you are directly affecting the path of the company. You also get to wear multiple hats if you desire to. I get bored with doing the same monotonous work and hate feeling like a small cog within a huge corporation. But you don't have those frustrations with smaller companies and you definitely don't get that at LiquidSky. LiquidSky is the only place I have worked where we are constantly attacking new problems at the leading edge. The employees are all smart, hard working and motivated to create something great.

Startup companies have some drawbacks and most of those center around compensation. They sometimes are unable to match salaries that large corporations can provide, and instead supplement salary gaps with options. If the company succeeds, those options are super valuable, but it is always a risk.
